Client – Stonebutterfly
Sector: Importer / Online Retail

Having originally started work on the original Stonebutterfly website the redesign for this e-commerce website was a great opportunity to enhance user experience, product page layouts and bring the design and feel into line with the companies modern and sophisticated audience in a way which gives customers a confidence in the brand. The site needed to be responsive with a focus on mobile friendliness as this formed a high proportion of the traffic to the site.

Key areas which were identified as issues for the previous version of the site are:

  • Inviting website which looks like it is aimed at retail customers rather than trade.
  • Ensuring the vast range of products are easily accessible and allow for the whole range to be view more manageable. (Product colours on the version one site displayed as individual products resulting in vast quantities of the same product being show, causing some products to get lost in the category menus.
  • Products pages must show information in an easily digestible way which looks good but also shares relevant information to aid with the sale process.

Each point on this list was addressed in the redesign and has even continually built on with the addition of new products with individual product specific layouts for product pages (Beds, Cabinets, Feature Chairs). The inclusion of key selling points and videos on the product pages to encourage customers to buy with the company.

The website has over 2000 products and has seen impressive growth since the launch of the new website which can be found here at www.stonebutterfly.co.uk.
